My time at Massey went well until the end when I had to raise a complaint about a staff member, which was a very difficult process made more complicated by management. Almost all other staff were great, it is unfortunate they are being let down by a few people (especially when those people are the ones in power). It was also difficult to network or socialise to the extent of other universities because so many classes were held on campuses in different cities so I never met other students or staff.

I transferred to this university as it offered more specialised papers. Overall I had a good experience, mainly due to the supportive environment. Found it easy to make friends and lecturers were very approachable.
Beautiful campus and free student parking was a bonus.
However I'd say the quality of education is average.
Overall
I liked the campus and the fact that the Facilities are in one area unlike akl uni.
apartments are nice and quiet but too expensive - food is shit at halls
location is good - Albany is safe and close to malls
accomodation manager was a bitch though

Overall
I wanted to study somewhere that wasn't too far away from home but still far enough where I can feel quite independent.
I enjoyed my time at Massey. Sure, my assignments almost drove me to complete insanity and the uni food almost killed but I still had a lot of fun.
Made a lot of good friends and felt like I was able to just do my own thing.
For those who are thinking of studying at Massey University, Albany; I highly recommend it.

I chose this study due to the fact that I couldn't learn computer programming and thought that Business was more fun and engaging
I liked that there were fewer class periods and very engaging lecturers, the downside was that some lecturers didn't had communication issues
Overall
Massey University surprised me in the best way possible. Although it wasn't my top choice, I quickly realized it was more than good enough. The library at Massey is simply amazing. It's hands down the best in Auckland, and guess what? Even students from other universities flock there to study! The resources available are extensive, and the atmosphere is great.
While most of the lecturers are dedicated and passionate about their subjects, it's true that there are a few who fall into the mediocre category. It's a bit disappointing, but no institution is perfect. There are still plenty of outstanding professors who go above and beyond to ensure students receive a quality education. With a little bit of effort in choosing the right courses and professors, you can still have a fulfilling academic experience at Massey.
Overall, I can confidently say that Massey University is a solid choice. Its remarkable library alone makes it worth considering. Don't let it being your second choice deter you. Massey offers amazing opportunities that lead me to where I am today. I found myself extremely surprised by what this university has to offer.

I never felt like I had the full university student experience at massey in terms of the social life, but that would probably just be because most of my cohort spent our time away from students of other degrees especially since we spent almost no time at the main campus and all of our classes were always with the same people, never mixing. This is also a positive as it gave us the opportunity to have a close bond with the people within our classes to the point that everyone knew each other and would not hesitate to ask each other for help or work on things together, preventing us from feeling alone and having to brave things by ourselves. Our lecturers were also able to know us all by name and give us their support as well, catered to each of us. They could give us second chances if we were struggling or were always open to help us with our assignments if we needed it and open to suggestions to help our class learn the best way we could. I don't think I would've survived my degree without their support or motivation.
Overall
The Massey Albany campus is a great experience if you are looking for a campus that has everything in one area! The lecture halls, library, student accomodation, and the cafeteria are easily accessible and within 5 minutes of each other. It's clear there was an actual laid out plan for the campus rather than some random buildings thrown together (no shade to Auckland Uni).
The course material and professors can be a little lacking but 70% of the time they're pretty good. Overall, I recommend studying here if you're looking for a campus experience that rivals the American college aesthetic (and Albany isn't a bad location either).
